PianoJam is becoming a "B.V."!

On 1st January 2010, PianoJam started the process to become a B.V.  For those not familiar with the Dutch finance and economic system, this is the equivalent of a British 'LTD', a Norwegian 'AS', or a US corporation.  We have taken this step because PianoJam has expanded past the normal limits of a 'sole trader' or 'eenmanszaak', both in terms of gross turnover and personal liability.

There are very few practical consequences for our partners, companies and musicians.  However, the company bank account changes to:

... and you will receive formal notification of this, if you conduct transactions with PianoJam.

Also, for those musicians who are not registered with the Dutch KvK or Chamber of Commerce, you will now be paid on a normal payroll system by PianoJam, rather than using a 3rd party payroll company.  We will take on the set-up costs for each musician that works for us on a regular basis.  In other cases, an administration fee will be applicable, as with other wages companies.
